About Me

Agbeye Oburumu is a Nigerian advocate, writer, poet, and civic engagement practitioner whose work centers on democracy, human rights, political inclusion, and citizen participation in governance. Through research, writing, public speaking, and creative expression, he contributes to conversations on democratic accountability, civil liberties, and inclusive governance across Africa.

His advocacy focuses particularly on youth political participation, women’s inclusion in decision-making processes, and the protection of fundamental freedoms. He has published and spoken extensively on the relationship between governance and citizen welfare, emphasizing the importance of strengthening democratic institutions and expanding opportunities for meaningful civic engagement.

Agbeye has been a fellow and cohort member of several leadership and advocacy programs, including the World Youth Alliance, the Building Bridges Project for Creatives, and the African Liberty Writing Fellowship. These experiences have strengthened his commitment to advancing freedom, responsible citizenship, and policy discussions that promote social and economic development.
